Chapter Twenty Two: Infarction
"But he is just a child! How can he handle all of this? Why does he have to endure these things, and why do we need to allow this?"
The Mirrorite was arguing with the Elf-in-Charge as they are discussing the options on what to do next. No matter how hard the North Pole tries, the child in question seems to caught up with danger, and little by little his security has been open to threat, ready to be breached any time soon.
"He cannot suffer an infarction. He is far too young!"
Of course everybody knows that the imagination of this kid is unique and original, which makes very delicate vapors of death. He had become a heavy target ever since, and the Green Snokers will never stop until they have done what they ought to do.
"But how can we stop it? Another child is in distress in the Philippines. This chain of problematic imagination has been unleashed, and the machinery for this 'food for thought' has started to activate, and it must be stopped as soon as possible."
The Elf-in-Charge was serious with his reservations, although he, too, agrees that the child is very young for this proposed infarction.
"He needs to be in a magical comatose for now," he concluded.
The Mirrorite wanted to argue further, but he looked utterly defeated. He lost every argument possible to counter the effects of this significant predicament; he is trying his best to accept the truth but his mind is still resisting to the glaring reality of the fact.
"And the Filipino kid?"
"The same case."
"I see."
The anatomical factor of this condition involves the optics of the eye. Some even suppose that this ability is possible because of the opening of the "third eye" which allows them to see all things visible and invisible, good or evil. Some things are bad in this guise; the result seems indelible in most obvious cases.
The imagination in this process then becomes food. The quality of the thoughts determines the fad for this "diet."
"And the rhetoric?"
The Elf replied with emphasis. "Dangerous. She is asking for help for her terminally ill mother. Anytime soon, this may spread. This is very infectious as you might recall."
The Mirrorite knew what was coming. There is a threat present, and the curse is working its way into the consciousness with its very potent poison. There is nothing much left to do. The options left are very discouraging.
