Chapter Twenty Four: The Old Drum Stick

As surprising as it is, Santa Claus is, in fact, in possession of that missing drum stick, with all of its entirety, its metaphysical significance, and substantial chemical composition. The wood used to manufacture it is, of course, magical, although such magic will be very different from what was known about the Magic of Christmas within the inhabitants of the Village, but instead that which complies with all the requirements important for an elementary enchantment.

It is, therefore, empowered by chants rather than the Christmas Magic. But that does not make its utility less efficacious from what it was originally intended to do.

Again, it was the Little Drummer Boys who were equipped with such weapon (of choice, as some would say) through the Treaty of Christmas Eve involving the government agencies from the future. These governments organized themselves to competently face the inevitable consequences of Earth's impending destruction (some theological, some of them scientific) and for quite some time they have searched for the existence of God far and wide, but later on decided that nothing miraculous really ever came from the life form that existed in the solar system; now, owing to any other theological creation narrative, there is absolutely none.

The Little Drummer Boys were made mechanical in form, without a doubt. They were manufactured with the same intricate, sophisticated mechanism of a clockwork, very delicate in sight, but strong and powerful, nonetheless, and having the required identical form of the agility of movement and superior human flexors; they are even more effective than what the actual flesh can do, especially in cases involving the motor skills as required by some sort of expertise and desired way of combat.

The four governments responsible for this operation, called the Quadrivium, entered into this Treaty to solve the technological problems of the New World. While nations moved away from the concept of God and all the factors that make up the population's collective humanity, the more the world have lost the will to live, and it is coming for the worse. Earth suddenly became a prison where people just exist to navigate the pile and pile of junk and other metallurgical products that litter the Earth.

Everything simply lost their meaning; there is no purpose and no further motivation to go on. Civilization became the slaves of robotic technology and no longer commands the programs, even their own existence had to be dictated by artificial intelligence. In short, an automated world where everyone is subjected to the power of a computer currently exists.

The Quadrivium was able to locate The Village, North Pole through the Dexteroscope, the most important part of the standard Time Machines prevalent at that particular time. And Santa Claus, being both a humanoid and a werewolf, was able to sense the electronic transmissions from the future. It was a call of help, and it was decided ever since in his own resolve that help is on the way.

As a way to navigate the future, twenty four drum sticks were initially manufactured for the first twenty four Little Drummer Boys, armed and ready to fight. Most of them died on the first attempt to rescue Earth's civilization, but Santa Claus managed to save a pair of the drum sticks and a Little Drummer Boy before he used all of his might, as a humanoid, to close the "Doorway," and retreat from battle at that time, with a vow that someday, he will come back and return to continue what was started.

By saving a part of these robots, he was able to reconstruct the exact mechanisms of the Little Drummer Boys, even upgrading them and making them extremely more powerful. But the drum sticks are not simple to make, and for this reason, he had no other choice but to return to his own roots and navigate Fantasy once more.

It was a race against time at this point.
