Chapter Thirty Four: A Magic of Illusion
Yes. Maria looks like a Filipino, but she is really not. But within her is a magic that radiates with all the temporary effects of illusion that her body needed in her current situation. It was a self-defense of magic that is automatically induced from the reaction to several environmental stimuli.
Now, more than ever, Maria becomes a natural threat to the order of things; she is virtually a ticking bomb that must be immediately found and diffused before she was able to explode from the forces trapped within her. The situation becomes more urgent as days pass by, and the Mirrorites must be informed of the danger and pursue a preliminary assessment of the situation before everything can go forward. Maybe a little prognosis of what was coming will not hurt anybody, too.
For now, nothing shall help her other than an elixir that must be expertly brewed to defy her present predicaments, in order to prevent the Boy Who Cried Wolf to unleash the monster inside him, thereby creating a ferocious dragon coming out of its cocoon from the Boy Who Cried Wolf's heart, and then ultimately to leave him dead. The Sinister Agent must not win in this instance, and The Village is ready to deliver all the help that they could muster.
The elixir that must be administered is not without a cause, because the known side effects affect the body's capacity to deliver the necessary happiness within its emotions and feelings. That while the two child are safe, their hearts become cold and devoid of any feeling of empathy, which is also a requirement for the Vampires to be hosted by such power of magic.
Food is something that is sacred, whichever kind is being talked about, and it is true for the Vampire to be satisfied by their thirst for the sacred blood of those who are also rich in the vapor of death. For now, no other viable alternative is available other than the natural desire for the Vampires to be hosted by the power of magic.
Christmas will suffice, but The North Pole will not give up the main functions of the Elihu. There will be fight up until their last breathe. Nothing perilous shall ever win despite if The Village falls, and even in the afterlife, they shall hunt these monsters to the core, and maybe defeat them in their dreams and fantasies, if ever they also inhabit that sacred domain.
It was the Vampires who were hypocritical, and not the Werewolves that they framed and criticized, so they can be hated by everyone. They did not flee the world of Fantasy out of cowardice; they flee these backstabbing enemies in order to regroup, and refocus all efforts, so that one day "their evil schemes will be brought into the light of day."
A battle is now beginning to simmer, and the elixirs must be managed lest it becomes a problem of its own. Luckily, the Hermit was a skillful potioneer ready to be of service in times of emergency, so that the status quo may be prolonged until the two children shall have been readied for what life and destiny may give them. Good or bad, life is still worthy of giving it a try. And their faith will be tested by this crucial war that has been a product of everyone's own accord.
The illusion is temporary, and classical magic may not be truly reliable, anymore. A lot of risk is simply ignored.
