Chapter Thirty Eight: The Monster Beneath the Bed
The portals are about to be ready, although not everything will be opened simultaneously. Almost everybody in the timeline are rushing to reach these portals first, with some of them ready to commit murders and atrocities when necessary, which makes the entire mission quite perilous. The portals are interconnected between places and time, and time is running out. Most of these mystical doors are closing permanently, so that discovering them, and then eventually finding them, becomes an utmost priority.
But not every door needs to be opened because of what was contained therein, so there was a several conjuring of enchantments that were launched in connection to the permanent seals attached to these entrances, obviously preventing those that inhabit those lands to be unleashed, wreck havoc, and destroy what constitutes goodness, perseverance, and chivalry in the currently known worlds.
Different dimensions are governed by interconnected lines of synthesized time and space (which pretty much obeys the complicated laws of particle physics), a theoretical understanding that has been reached by the precepts of actual experimentation, and which knowledge would be very crucial for the individual battles in the rest of the universe.
While space and time are long considered to be infinite, there are elements within the realm of science that has developed a way to intercept linear time (meaning, the knowledge of time travel) without experiencing adverse biological effects. Two of these instruments have been developed: one called Time Machine, which focuses more in the element of time rather than space; and the other one is called Physical Clock, which is concerned more on space than the unit of time.
Both of these mode of time travel has been consistently reliable, and is being used to return and travel forward, in centuries of history, and in the prophetic determination of the future.
One of these portals (that is both accessible by Time Machine and Physical Clock) leads to a doorway inhabited by Monsters, specifically the monsters that can be found under the bed of sleeping children. These monsters are notorious for feeding from the fright of vulnerable children, especially those who detest finding the horrors that can be found living in darkness. They are manipulative, and these monsters are known to assist Vampires in terms of ability and complementary strength.
The Village, North Pole's Mayoralty Commission has issued several guidelines (especially in the issuance of the Certificates) to help counter the opening of such portals, which the Christmas Corporation has affirmed in several Resolutions issued pertaining to, and auxiliary with, the "Monsters underneath the bed."
It is quite clear from the records that the North Pole has coined such a term, and the Village is solemnly dedicated to the causes which prevents the opening of entry way to these unwanted elements (some even refer to them as Urban Legends).
But even Santa Claus and Father Christmas knew that the period is fast approaching when these monsters will try to attempt to infiltrate this world of "godly children motivated by goodness." This time, they will attempt to enter through the imagination of a child, and the battle to prevent this journey to barricade the portal will be fought long and hard.
