Chapter Thirty Five: The Academy of Elven Causes
"E 'di wow!"
(Phrase used to express sarcasm)
-- Popular Filipino slang
This careful process within the purview of imagination is sophisticatedly known to be the Academy of Elven Causes, an independent office within the Council of The Village directly under the supervision of the Chief Storekeeper, which office is dismissed simply as part of the Magic of Christmas, but not quite. It seems that Santa Claus' reputation may be slightly tarnished by the subject of this revelation, but nothing else matters at this point but to encourage the telling of the truth.
As it may be confirmed by another publication other than the contents that adorn the pages of this book, there are many different versions of the story associated with this Academy pertaining to the Elves, and where they actually came from. But there seems to be a consensus as to where this difficult exposition might lead, that nothing else matters than to admit that the Magic of Christmas, like all the magic that can be found universally by the analysis of its mataphysical properties, requires the participation of an agent (this conclusion may be supported by another publication as well).
In this instance, the Magic of Christmas clings to the "spirit" of giving, or what is universally accepted as generosity, which is then ever present in a selected agent. An agent must have been good-hearted, generally nice, and celebrates love and family, for the Magic of Christmas to work its way from its rawest form, then into a substance mixed with all things good that becomes a character (or urban legend as some may say) to be known as the Christmas Elves. And these elves, being a character that once been under the powers of the Playwright (which operates under the Theory of the World Stage), follows the same principle, although Santa Claus was never a Sinister Agent.
Or is he?
It is not conscionable for the narrative of this intent to not fully divulge the many secrets within or without The Village, but it is safe to assume that Santa Claus was, indeed, became to be a ruthless Sinister Agent. Vile. Rancid. Evil.
But he had no choice. At least, that was the consensus.
Santa Claus, with all of his pure intentions, and being a Werewolf of Fantasy, never attempted to keep a secret on his own, albeit, he did share these secrets into the hands of the right persons for them to keep the revelation safely. He did trust the beautiful persons in their capacity to be fully trusted, which has become the most valuable factor in maintaining the stability of the powers of the Magic of Christmas.
For this particular Magic to work, it must latch itself to the beauty of the world. Not just for aesthetics alone, but the beauty of humanity within, fully embraced with no pretensions. And only within the purity of the hearts of these many agents, when combined, will eventually result to the wonderful creation of new Elves.
But somebody else knew of this secret, and he is treacherous. Someone from the other side. It can be told at this point in the narration that the Academy of Elven Causes is in grave danger.
