Chapter Sixty Four: The Williamshire's Path Up North
The North Pole have lost this crucial territory a long time ago, and along with it are the reliable Gremlins. The Gremlins themselves must be awaken first, there is no other way; but until they were released from their deep sleep and into consciousness, it will be far too dangerous to attempt to enter the Williamshire vicinity to claim the land once again.
One of the mysterious circumstances surrounding the Gremlims, and the dwelling land from which they live, is the presence of the several stories relating to the substantive nature of their own myths and legends. In fact, a particular legend to this effect reveals that there is a hidden path leading to an enchanted place up north, where a community of "Believers" are resting in perpetual hibernation.
The path is a long and winding road, and the secretive location is known simply to many as the "Land of the Great Icicles." The Believers are known to be mythical builders, where the utility of their Great Icicles are mostly employed. These Icicles are similar to a sword, and with the power of the freezing sparkly waters, the resulting impetus creates new parallel things as visible objects through their use of a sculpting technique that completely changes a block of enchanted ice.
However, this land is so secret that only a few race will be able to recognize the hidden place, and see it with their own eyes. In addition, one foretelling of the myth confirms that the whole city of the Believers are enchanted with a cloudy frost that eventually hides it from the naked eye of the unworthy. And if anyone forces their way in, despite of the warning of this chant that predicts his unworthiness, the result will be certain: that he shall die an extremely excruciating death.
It was in this premise that the North Pole decided to hire the Gremlins to guard Williamshire and discourage anybody who is willing to try their luck and explore the northern lands. While Santa Claus admire courageous disposition, he is completely opposed to a foolish and reckless act. The place has been declared simply to be off-limits by the corresponding instruction of the Christmas Corporation.
As the glorious North Pole lost Williamshire to the enemy (the reason of which shall not be conveniently discussed at this time), the Gremlins also lost their ability to regulate the passage leading to the land of the Believers. And while Believers are known to be a prudent and gentle race, they are, nonetheless, unforgiving without hesitation when their home is invaded and substantially threatened.
Limited information regarding their own behavior makes matters worse in this sense. A natural hazard exists when the Believers are unduly provoked by some form of hostility, and a retaliatory attack against the North Pole may take place without any warning.
As interdimensional conflict threatens the peace of those who know (and especially the North Pole), to arouse dispute with the Believers will most likely result the Christmas Corporation to be thrown helplessly into an early defeat, which will result to a major blow to the many causes even before the invasion of the Vampires into this world takes place.
This dire situation is completely unimaginable, but one must take heart. Even the Little Drummer Boys feel the presence of the early warning signs as the cold air delivers an impending message of danger.
